In 1999, one of our group members, came across this case and reported it as an animal mutilation. The pidgeon was found on the footpath in a Southampton road with no other apparent injuries. After keeping the pidgeon in his freezer (Much to his wifes disaproval), he took it to a pidgeon breeder. The breeder (Name on SUFOG report) examined the bird and could not explain the cause of the injury. The other strange thing that he reported, was the fact that ALL of the birds internal organs were missing. We have shown these and other images to other researchers and to date, we have been unable to come up with a plausable answer.
